Paint, Possibly.

Even if you don't consider yourself a painter,
that doesn't mean you shouldn't consider
the possibilities of paint on your projects.

If you are an "everything in its place"
kind of scrapper, painting might be a challenge at times.
Just remember that one of the most liberating aspects
of adding paint to your layouts is that it doesn't have to be controlled.
Everything can still have a place while also being a little "displaced."
There's no need to stay within the lines.
In fact, it's when paint ventures outside of the lines
that it lends a bit of funk and charm to pages.

To create the background for the page below,
I painted and stamped in layers.
I brushed a coat of Fire Engine Red over the back of a lined stamp,
and stamped the image nine times,
adding a little more paint as the image became lighter.
I repeated this process with Grammie Berry and Luscious Lilac,
stamping over the original image,
and not worrying whether the lines overlapped.
A bit of Vertigre Vibez action
added a kind of "coffee stain" effect on the background.

I went a little paint-crazy on the next layout,
and didn't worry for a moment
about staying in the lines.

I used a small brush to fill in the loops in my handwriting
with Fire Engine Red and Blue By U paint.

I also created a few lines of my own...
I created the lines bordering the page
by brushing paint on the edge of a thick card
(a piece of cardstock, cardboard, or fakey junk-mail credit card would work, too)
and sliding the card across the layout.
There are so many painterly possibilities!
If you've got paint all over your fingers (and not just your layouts),
consider yourself one happy scrapper.
