On this page about my husband's birthday, I used a bunch of Shimmerz products to add lots of color, energy, and that trademark Shimmerz shine.
Rather than use the same old, same old stamping ink with this cute cupcake stamp from Stamping Bella, I grabbed a paintbrush and brushed a light layer of Carrot Top Pearlz over the stamp, and then I stamped the image as I would usually do. I filled in the cupcake centers with Sunny Side Up Pearlz. Yummy! Shimmerz Fire Engine Red made the little hearts atop each cupcake all the more vibrant.
The "frame" of the layout uses a variety of Shimmerz paints as well as a few serendipitous sprays of Spritz and Vibez here and there. I had been experimenting with colors and textures over graph paper a few weeks ago, and set the paper to the side among my scraps. This morning I looked at it and knew that it would be perfect for this layout.
Oh, Shimmerz, you sure know how to dress up my pages...
