Fly With Me Scrapbooking Layout

Hey all! Nicole here with another layout using the February Color Kitz to document a pic of me and my hubby on our way to Japan.  I had such a fun time creating this layout for such a special pic :)

I started by making my background.  I wanted to use the paints in the kit to make what looks like a color study in the background.  I added the paints with varying amounts of water to achieve this look.  I then cut down my watercolor paper and added a border with patterned paper.

I added my photo with a patterned paper mat to my page.  I then cut out my title using one of the patterned papers and some metal dies from my stash.

I then added 3 clusters to my page with die cuts.  I also added brown buttons and sequins from my stash.

Thanks for popping on to read about my layout.  I hope it gives you some crafty ideas on how to use your kitz!

I also have a process video for this layout here: Fly With Me Scrapbooking Process

I *heart* You Scrapbooking Layout

Hey all!  Today I'm using the new February Color Kitz to make this fun mixed media scrapbooking layout documenting me and my hubby at the tea garden in San Antonio!

The first thing that I did for this layout was to use 3 different paints from the kit to make the background.  I basically just added the colors in 3 separate blobs around the page.  I then added some ink stenciling with the Love stencil that came with the kit.

I then did my paper piecing.  I cut 3 strips of patterned paper to make the photo mat and the little banners on the side of my layout.

I then added my embellishments.  I added some die cuts as well as fussy cut the green flowers to add those around the page.  I also added some little bits from my stash as well.

Thanks so much for popping on to read about my layout.  I hope it gives you some ideas on how to use you kitz :)

Winter Memories Scrapbooking Layout

Hey all, Nicole here with my second scrapbooking layout using the January Color Kitz!  I am documenting a sweet winter moment in the Rose Garden at the San Antonio Botanical Gardens last month!

I started with adding the Loose Lips Pink Ships Inklingz onto my watercolor paper for the background.  I added it in a kind of L shape to the upper right of the layout.

Next I made some winter flowers using a die and patterned paper from the kit.  I added the flowers and lots of die cuts to the L shape. I matted my photo on patterned paper and added 2 strips to the top and bottom of the page.

I finished the page by making a little cluster down in the lower left of the page with the title.  I added some sequins from my stash and my journaling.

Thanks for popping on to read all about my layout!  I hope it gets you in a crafty mood!  You can still grab the January Color Kitz over at the shop and use my name Nicole in the shopping cart notes to get a free gift with your order!  I also have a process video for this layout here: Winter Memories Scrapbooking Process Video

Candy Corn Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout

Hey all! Nicole here with my first layout using the October Color Kitz!  I'm using paper, die cuts, and of course the paints to make this fun mixed media layout!  I'm documenting the little boo baskets that I made for my "gouls" last Halloween!

The first thing that I did was use all the paints from the kit to make these sweet candy corns on the background of my watercolor paper.  I then used the stencil and some ink from my stash to add those cute little bats to the background as well.

I then grabbed the die cuts and added them through out my clusters, making sure to add my photo to the bottom most candy cane as well!

I finished off my layout with some green buttons from my stash and added my journaling to the little journal spot.

I just love the way this layout turned out!  It is so fun and I just love those pops of pink from the Color Kit.  If you decided that you just have to have this kit, please use my name Nicole in the shopping cart notes for a free gift with your order.

Thanks for popping on to read about my layout.  I hope it gives you all kinds of fun ideas to use with your kit!

Rainy Day Using the August Color Kitz Bundle

Hey all, Nicole here with my first layout using the August Color Kitz Bundle!  I am documenting a rainy day while we were exploring the streets of Tokyo!

The first thing that I did for this layout was make the background.  I used all the colors from the kit to make this rainbow and added some dots at the ends of the rainbow.  You can watch me make this background here: https://youtu.be/FKpTiBzDSCo

Next I paper pieced my layout together and added my pics.  I tore the bottom of the rainbow paper and added the polka dotted paper to the bottom.  I distressed my photos and popped them up on foam tape.  I then added my title down in the lower right corner.

Lastly I added all the embellies from the kit.  It includes die cuts, stickers, and little dotz.  I then splattered with Black Hole paint.

Thanks so much for stopping by to read about my layout.  I hope it gets you in a crafty mood.  You can watch my process for this video here: https://youtu.be/eL7QrMEyAEA

My Sweet Boy Using the July Color Kitz

Hey all!  Nicole here with another layout using the July Color Kitz!  Today I'm documenting my sweet dog, Rocky.  This was our last day with Rocky and it brings up such emotion, so I thought it would be nice to document with some bright cheerful colors.

The first thing I did for this layout was to make the background.  I used all the shimmerz and sprays to make this from the kit.

Next I paper pieced from the papers that came with the kit, trying to match the colors with the paints.

Finally I used elements from the kits to embellish!  I also added some buttons and sequins from my stash.  I added my title using a stamp and finished with journaling.

Thanks so much for stopping in to read about my layout!  You can grab the July Color Kitz in the shop and don't forget to use my name Nicole in the shopping cart notes to grab a free gift with your order!  I also have a process for this page here: Shimmerz Process Video

Totally Chill | Mixed Media Layout with embellishment wreath.

Hello there!
Need to bash some serious embellishments? Read on through to find out how I made this embellishment-filled layout with lots of mixed media.

For starters, my base is white textured cardstock. I sprayed Oh Say Can You See, Heidi Ho Blue, In Deep and Freshly Squeezed to create my first layer of color. Waited for it to dry a bit before adding my second layer with some white acrylic paint. Now, the way I added my white acrylic paint was by placing a medium-sized bowl, placed it over-turned in the center and began splattering the paint. This allowed for the paint splatters to fall outside of my wreath and helped create the shape of where I would be adding my embellishments later on.
Once this second layer was dry, I added some Puttin' On The Glitz texture paste right in the middle of my wreath for a bit of interest. Finally, once everything was dry, I began to work on creating my embellishment wreath.
I pulled out some random Summer-themed embellishments that were on the larger side and glued these on first. Then I added some of the plastic daisies from the March Color Kitz and stuck down some stars from my stash. To finalize my layout, I want crazy adding Nuvo Drops in at least 4 different colors.

That's it!
Thank you so much for sticking around!
