Project Life and Mono Tonez finished Spread.

Hi there.

Lydell with you today sharing the finished Project Life spread I did with the cards I made in the Video HERE.

They were used with the New Mono Tonez!  (Love these!)

anyway....Heres the Layout.

I tell you what....I found it so very easy this time, as all the hard stuff was already done.

I had made a set of co-ordinating cards, and kept all the off cuts for punching and labels or tags.

It worked great.

I will do this again

Project Life and Mono Tonez

Hi all,
Lydell with you again today with a video on how I used the Gold Tonez to create the start of this Project Life Spread.  I really love the Mono Chromatic feel of these collections.  If you have not heard of them, Shimmerz Paints have a series of new collections out called Mono Tonez.  They are 4 Paints from across all the Shimmerz Paint Ranges which are monochromatic.  I have used the Gold Tonez in my project today.

There are two Vibez, an Inklingz and a Creameez in this collection.  'Glorious Day' and 'Egg Noggin' Vibez, 'Get Glowing' Creameez and 'Miner Miner 49er' Inklingz.

Some simple Calligraphy PL Cards with Inklingz

Sharing a tutorial today on how I created some Project Life Cards like the ones I shared earlier in the week, using Shimmerz Inklingz!

Before we start though, if you have not seen this...you have just enough time over the weekend for The Specials that are on in the Shimmerz Store

I just love the Inklingz....They are a great product, and they will last for ages!

A little Inklingz Calligraphy and some Project life Cards!

Hi there Shimmerz fans.

Lydell here with you today sharing a recent project to add some Project Life cards to my ready-to-go stash!

I got out my Calligraphy straight holder and favourite nib and away I went.  Not perfect by any means, done quickly and without pressure.  (I keep forgetting to cross my 't's'  LOL)

AND I got out my stash of Inklingz

(mmmm....divine.)

(I wet the paints and loaded the nib with a paint brush to write.  

You want the consistency of full cream milk.)

and I wrote and wrote what ever I could think of!

I added little buttons and string and staples and what ever was lying around that matched!

And that's what I did today!

Lovely droplets of paint.

Hi there. I am sharing a project I created with the June Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook. It was such a gorgeous bright colourful kit to work with, and I had JUST the right colours to match it with my Coloringz collection!

I wanted to do something a bit different in my Project Life album.  I had some weeks to catch up on, and wanted to do something a bit fresh. 

I decided on a Layout spread, using typical PL sized cards and ideas, but not in the pocket pages.

I found I could fit on enough pictures for the week and still keep the page 'designed'.

And the Coloringz finished it off just right!

Project life and Dimensionz

Lydell sharing with you today.
I have struggled with being behind in Project Life for a while now.  I am determined that I will stay in control in 2014!  So I am going to work ahead a little when I can.  Half the time, I have not sorted my photos, so I dont even start, which really has not worked for me this year.......but I thought if I do the bulk of the spread ahead of time, (ie....the FUN part!)  then I can just add my photos and the final touch embellishments/journaling,later, it may make life easier!  So here is my start!

I am using the DecemberProject Life kit from My Creative Scrapbook as my base, and to add a bit of 'oomph' I am using Shimmerz! The new Dimensionz  worked great.

Heres my spead....ready to go!

I carved a stamp out of foam, with my DH's soldering iron.  It essentially just melts a pattern into the foam.  This one is just a strip of uneven little rectangles.
I put some dimensionz on a piece of heavy plastic (a throw out palette!) and spread it out, and just dipped my stamp into it.
The black dots are a pin head stamped on my card.
Some more samples....

I added some Vertigre Vibez droplets....

 More stamping with a home made foam stamp dipped into Dimensionz....
and larger circles just added with the Dimensionz bottle nozzle.

 Using the stamp with two colours of Dimensionz......Simple yet very cool effect.

So thats my plan.  Here's hoping it keeps me up to date with Project life in 2014!
