Very Theraputic | Shimmerz Paints | MK Gunn

 Hey it's MK!  Today, I am making my own patterned paper with ink and textures.

I used scraps of white cardstock leftover from cutting cut files.  The first piece I started on, I used Inklings Penny for Your Thoughts as the base color.  Then I used Vibez Rip Van Periwinkle and some bubble wrap to stamp circles onto my paper.  Once that was dry, I splattered more of the Rip Van Periwinkle as well as Shimmerz So Sappy.

The next pattern I worked on, I started with Spritz Pipe Cream that can be found in the June 2023 Color Kit.  I sprayed the entire sheet and just before it dried I splattered Color Splash Penny in Yer Pocket everywhere.  Next I took old packaging that had a hexagon shape and painted it with Coloringz Ahoy Matey and stamped it all over my Pipe Cream background.  Once the paper was all dried, I used a blue pen to outline the hexagon shapes.

I also used Spritz Sapphire, Coloringz Ahoy Matey & Vibez Rip Van Periwinkle to make photo mats by spraying first with Sapphire in various spots, then sprayed the borders with Ahoy Matey and finished it off by splattering Rip Van Periwinkle around the edges.

Finally, I took Coloringz Ahoy Matey and painted my canvas letters.  Once all the pieces were dried, I attached them to a piece of printed vellum and then to a piece of dark blue cardstock. added some sewing to hold a few areas down and called it complete.
