Hey, it's MK here to show you a quick way to add a little mixed media to your layout effortlessly.
I started with assembling all my layered papers the way I'd like them to look on the layout. Basically, I put my layout together from the top down. Once all my layers were glued together, I traced around the area that I wanted to add my paint, focusing mostly on my photo mats.
With my layered pieces removed, I began adding a little Shimmerz Bumbly Bee around my pencil lines using the packaging technique. The packaging helps me spread the paint randomly and adds a little splatter. I used Creameez Dandy Lion to darken the edges of my pencil lines and Creameez Get Glowing to soften some of the edges. To finish off my background, I splattered some Coloringz Lil' Yellow Skool Bus and Vibez Wild Spruce Chase.
I used the alphabets from June's Color Kitz Paper Collection and painted them with a mix of Shimmerz Bumbly Bee and Inklingz Green Goddess.
While my background was off drying, I used Inklingz Green Goddess and Inklingz Emerald City to paint my chipboard gears.
Now it's time to put my layered pieces back on and sprinkle the embellishments around, trying to stay focused around the photo.
