Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today sharing a new layout I made using the super gorgeous April 2022 Color Kitz. It has the perfect colors to document all of your Spring photos! Make sure to check out the video at the end of this post for an unboxing of the kit and to see how this layout came together.
First, I took the cut file from the kit and while I was still in my Silhouette software, I duplicated it a few times to create several different flower sizes. I knew I wanted to make a shaker out of one of them, so I made one a little larger than the rest. Once they were all cut out, I colored each flower with the blue and purple paints from the kit. I then took the Keep Palm Coloringz and sprayed it on a separate piece of cardstock.
I set my flowers aside to dry and started to work on my background. I painted a piece of thick white cardstock using the new It's A Boy Inklingz and added a few splatters of both the Iced Lavender and Lilac Blossom Shimmerz. I set that aside to dry and got to work on my sequin shaker. I took the largest flower and adhered a piece of acetate to the back to create my window. I then added foam around the perimeter and poured in my sequins from the kit. I sealed it with a piece of vellum and it was complete! I love this sequin mix and it looks so pretty in that flower cut file.
I then took the piece of paper that I had sprayed with the Keep Palm Coloringz and I hand cut some leaves for my flowers. I adhered everything down and tucked them in here and there. I added in the Dotz from the kit and embellished using the Bloom Street collection by Paige Evans. The colors matched perfectly!
Here's another Dotz piece:
One more up close shot.. When I adhered the flowers down, I made sure to only add glue to the centers so that the edges could pop up and give the page more interest.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Make sure to check out the process video down below and also make sure to add my name to the notes/comments section of all your Shimmerz Paints orders to receive a free gift! See you next time friends!
