It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.....

Hello lovely Shimmerz friends and thanks for being here today.  I don't know about you but I am busy getting ready for the holidays and today I want to share a little hanger with you.
I'll give you a quick run down of how I put this together

I started with a little wooden plaque that I had prepped with black gesso. I added crackle glaze to it and when that had dried added a coat of off white acrylic paint. When the cracks started to appear it was ready for the next step, adding some texture with the help of a stencil and some clear texture paste. Now it was ready to start playing with my Shimmerz paints.
I started with giving my project a light base coat with a mix of Shimmerz Celery andh a little Creameez Sage Isn't So Good towards the centre.
Next I put the stencil back in place and added some Texturez Muddy Buddy to add more depth and texture. I just applied it with my finger through the stencil.

I wanted to keep the background quite simple to leave space for additional layers.
I cut a label from Kraft card, gave it a light coat of gesso and then added a few sprays of Coloringz  Chocolate Brownie. I stamped some snow flakes and a sentiment in Archival ink and then added a bit more Texturez with my finger for a little more interest in the background.

Some bright red leaves and a rose from my stash also got a few sprays of the Chocolate Brownie to gunge them up a bit, as was the little deer  below.
A little die cut, added a bit more interest to the bottom edge and that was it.
Quick easy and so much fun to do. I always love to see how the different sprays and paints react on different textured surfaces. Hope you are having fun with your holiday projects, and thanks for visiting here like always. But before you leave, don't forget, you can order Shimmerz products directly from the Shimmerz Paints Store. If you do,  mention my name (Astrid Maclean) in the «Instruction to Merchant/seller» part of your order form (just below your name and address). Thanks for visiting today and have fun making your own Christmas projects! Shimmerz beautiful shimmering paints and sprays are just perfect for Christmas!
