1962

When working on layouts with old photos, I often grab my Gold Glimmer Blingz.  It really adds to the vintage feel of a page. This is a picture of my mom and dad sitting in front of the fireplace with my grandparents (my mom's parents) in 1962, the year after my parents got married.

As seen in the January 2011 issue of Creating Keepsakes.  Copyright Creative Crafts Group.  Published with permission of the publisher.

Yep . . . hanging out with the in-laws. I wonder what they were talking about that day . . .

To give the plain chipboard alphas a vintage look, I painted them with Gold Glimmer Blingz and then I inked the edges with brown ink:

Have a wonderful day!

I love this layout. Did you make the crochet borders or did you buy them? I want to make crochet borders right now!

What a fabulous layout (as always Miss Stacy)! I love your hand-crochet borders...they're your trademark.
