A Bouquet of Flowerz

Today was a good day :) I received in the mail, 20 jars of Shimmerz and Blingz that I had recently purchased. I was so excited....can you guess what I did all day??
The other night I had soup for dinner, and for some reason I thought, "Oh I should keep this can. I can probably alter it some way!". So, today I was playing with the new My Minds Eye Line Penny Lane, when I had a brainstorm. The entire collection is gorgeous because it is covered with flowers. Before I did anything else, I grabbed some white Bazzill flowers and decided to try out a few of the new colors. For each flower, I painted it one of the new colors. Oh my goodness, they turned out so amazing :) I showed my mother, my mother-in-law, and I tried to show my dad but he wasn't interested :(
A had a fairly large Bazzill flower and I painted it with Royal Red Shimmerz, and right then I had my inspiration. I decided that I wanted to make a bouquet of flowers. This is something that I have never attempted before, and it ended up being so easy.
Here is a picture of the bouquet (sorry about the lighting, the sun was going down):

All I did was wrap a strip of paper around the soup can, and cutting a thinner strip to put around the middle of the can. Then I attached the Bazzill with Shimmerz. Here is a close up of the flower:

Look at the way it sparkles and just sets the entire theme off. I love the way it turned out. For the flowers, I just punched different sizes of scallops and circles. Then for the stems I cut this pieces of white cardstock, folded each strip in half, and used my adhesive. When I was inserting them in the can I actually put toothpicks in between the folded cardstock so that it would be sturdy in the can. Then I stamped a sentiment, and I added a little Golden Wheat Shimmerz, added some pop dots and I was done. I really thought it came out cute. I started thinking about using actual floral sticks for this, and putting candy in it for the kids' teachers. There are so many ideas. I just wanted to share what I have been doing today. Thank y'all so much for stopping by, and looking at all of our work!
Much Love & Many Blessings~~~ Danielle
