Nature Journal a page with Astrid

Hello Shimmerz friends, - today I have a page from my nature journal to share with you, - hope you like it....
I have never been one to use colouring books that are so popular these day, but I do enjoy colouring my own stamped images, so that's what I did with this page. These are the Shimmerz products I used:
Inklingz: Miner Miner
Shimmerz: Key Limme, Celery, Coffee
Creameez: Black Cherry Soda
First I stamped my image with embossing ink and embossed in white. This gave me a slightly raised image, to make the colouring slightly easier.
Next I created my background using Distress Inks, I also did a bit of background stamping.
Next I coloured my flowers and leaves, using my chosen paints and a fine brush.
Finally I coloured the butterfly. In taking the photo I tried very hard to show some of the wonderful shimmer these little pots of paint provide.

I added a little sentiment, and that was pretty much it. Quick, easy and super fun to do, - hope you will give it a try, - and if you do, don't forget:
Thanks for your visit like always, and see you next time,
