Painting with Pearlz

Who's ready to paint today? Get those angled brushes out ladies and put down that cup of coffee because NO jitters are wanted here ;)
Here I am last night surrounded by the beautiful new Shimmerz Pearlz paints, kinda overwhelmed with where to start. So many ideas rumbling and tumbling about in my head. I figured I would start with paper, see where that led me. So I went over to my lil paper holder and just randomly pulled out a piece of paper. I ended up with this Anna Griffin stitched piece.
DING DING DING...the bell went off inside my noggin. The Pearls would be PERFECT for filling in those intricate flowers and stitched designs.
So I grabbed my paint brushes and started filling in little by little.

I started out with one layer and after it dried, I added a second on top for a bit more punch. It was like using watercolors. How fun is that?

But the fun didn't stop there. I found a sheet of antique paper that was just screaming for a fun burst of Pearlz as well. I crumpled it up and then lightly painted over the top of the ridges using the new Ballet Slipper (pink) and Grey Flannel colors:

Then a little birdie told me that Ballet Slipper pink was her favorite color and she needed some love too:

Once I got started, I couldn't stop! I took a plain ol white journaling spot and painted it with the Ballet Slipper pink. Can you tell I looove this color yet?

And so it went, adding beautiful pearlescent touches here and there all over my layout with a finished result of:

I loved the contrast between the softer Pearlz colors (grey flannel, ballet slipper and morning mist) with the more bold color of the brown which is aptly named CRAFTY!
