Autumnal peace a canvas with Astrid

Hello Shimmerz friends and thanks for coming by here.
Today I have a little canvas to share with a quick step by step:
I had not used my Aqua Huez for ages, so I thought it was high time to pull them out and have a play. These are the colours I used:
From left to right\: Red Hot, Chester Nut, Pot-O-Gold, Sea Weed , Cuppa Joe

I also used some sprays:
Coloringz Don't Be Suede, Spritz Treasured Hymn, Coloringz Chocolate Brownie, Vibez Rolling in the Hay
Of course you can find all of these products in the paint store by clicking HERE
It all started with a little wooden tag that I had added some texture to with the help of a stencil and some crackle paste and then gave a coat of gesso.

I coloured it with two of the Aqua Huez, to give it a first layer of colour.
Next I cut some leaves and also coloured them using the Huez. When they were dry I covered them with a little matte medium and then sprinkled on some embossing powder in Ancient Gold, for a little texture, this is what they then looked like:
The flowers were given a similar treatment, but this time using the sprays.

I then put it all together so it looked like this:

The canvas was given a first coat of sprays too, this was the first stage:
I then gave it several more coats, but forgot to take pictures, I also added some stencilling using archival ink. Finally I die cut a globe out of copper coloured mirri card, darked a bit with alcohol ink, as well as the word peace, cut from craft core. (All dies used are by Tim Holtz for Sizzix)
At the last minute I decided the canvas needed a bit of an edge still and I used my Distress Crayons for that, and that was pretty much it.
Well, that's it for now, - thanks for your visit and have a great week!
