Canvas layout

Hello everyone. Tiffany here.

I have a canvas to share with you today.

Be sure to check out the Shimmerz store to get the products I used in my project and much more.

Last summer my niece asked my husband to escort her in her first pageant. (my brother was unable to make it due to work) Of course he said yes. We traveled to Northern California and she did great. I love how grown up and beautiful she looks (and is) in this photo.

You can watch how I put most of it together in this video

Here is a couple more pictures of the canvas.

Products used :
Dazzlerz - lemon drop
Texturez - tidy widy
Shimmerz - coal
Shimmerz - pink
Shimmerz - tickle me turquoise
Shimmerz - Magenta
Spritz - cotton candy

"Darling"

Hi Shimmerz followers, hope you are having a lovely creative weekend.....I actually am :)
Just popping in to share a new creation of my 'Darling' big boy!

Shimmerz products used:

Vibez in Jeni B Bleu, Before Dawn and Egg Noggin
Spritz in Carribean Sunset
Shimmerz in Coal
Blingz in Gold Glimmer

"Darling"

I have a pie chart stencil (by Crafter's Workshop) and I have certainly had my use out of it :)   I started by applying Modelling paste to the stencil.  Before it dries I start spraying my Spritz and Vibez products.....always using the lighter colours first.

Also letting the colours dribble down the page.

After giving the pie chart a spray with Vibez Before Dawn I wanted the black to be a little darker so I used the Coal Shimmerz which you can see from this picture just how shimmery it is.  The Gold Glimmer Blingz is also at the top of this pic......love the texture in the Blingz :)

Lots of Shimmery flickers :)

I hope you loved my colourful, pastel, rainbow Shimmerz palette today!!!  Don't forget to mention my name upon checkout in the Shimmerz store to receive your free product :)

Until next time xoxo

Endless Summer Fun- By Keren Tamir

This colourful summer layout is a little different than my usual.
I've used lots of Shimmerz's products in the background by creating lines, circles and swirls.

These are the Shimmerz Products I used:
Dimensionz: Blue Lagoon
Dazzlerz: Pucker up pink
Dazzlerz: Spun Sugar
Spritz: Chick-a-dee
Shimmerz: Royal red
Vibez: Before Dawn

By layering with different shapes and different Shimmerz products, I created a busy textured background that matches the colours of the photo.

If you would like to try out any of these products you can purchase them from the Shimmerz Shop and if you mention my name during checkout, you will receive a free Shimmerz product!!! and you're also in luck because all sprays are 25% off, but only for a limited time!!!

Thank you so much for visiting the Shimmerz blog today
Have a wonderful day!

Make your own stencils -Education Day

Lydell back with you today with a tutorial showing you how I made some stencils to use with my paints, for Project life, layouts or even cards.

They were fairly easy and just require a few designs you can dream up - for you to cut out.
I drew many designs, and picked the ones to begin with that were fairly straight forward and not too complex.  You do get better with your handling of the blade the more you cut out, so keep that in mind before you give up.

The Plastic I used was from a box I was given,  old x-ray sheets.  But any kind of packaging or heavy transparency would be good too.  You dont want it too thin, but too thick would be harder to cut, so think about that when you are looking for material to use.  Sometimes the packaging that comes off kids toys, or even scrapbooking supplies would be good for this purpose too.

I made my stencils about 3.5 x 4.5 inches so they would cover a 3x4 Project life card.  you could try some 6x4 versions as well.  I am yet to do that.  I find I use the filler cards more often, which is why I started with this size.

So here is my video.

So collect that plastic and draw up some designs ready to cut!
Make sure you share on Facebook if you do some of your own!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Some Rolling in the Hay action.......

Hi there....
Hope you are all having a happy April!
Just sharing a project with you today, that I created recently.

I used the Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook.
And LOTS of Rolling in the Hay Vibez!

I coated my cardstock with gesso before I started so the Paint didnt just soak straight into the paper.  I wanted to dry in puddles, creating more of a watercolour look, and less of a blended area of colour.  Its easy to get the layered splatter look, like this.  Just dry well between applications.

I chose the 'Rolling in the Hay' to match my papers.  Perfect!

Head over to the STORE today
(Keep in mind if you mention my name, you will get a free Shimmerz product!)

Remember to join in the Shimmerz Facebook Challenge during April for your chance to win even more Shimmerz!!!

Thanks for Stopping by today.

See you again Soon.

two birthday cards

Hi all!

Ingrid here today with two birthday cards.
These cards are actually two card shaped canvasses.
Love to work with them as they are a great firm base for all the paints.

Started both cards with randomly applying the paints.
Sprayed with some water to let the colors run into each other.
Used a heat gun to let it dry completely.
For the first card I took a kitchen sponge and some gesso to tone it done a bit.

For this card I used a bottle cap from a Shimmerz spray.
Used a template and gesso to create some extra texture.
For both cards I also painted some flowers with the colors Flashee Fushia and Sunny.

Here are some details from the first card.
Glued some mini beads for an extra touch.

Didn't plan the cracks but the gesso did a great job.
Love those little surprises!

And some details from the second card:
Stamping the circles with some Blingz, Flashee Fushia.

I used the following Shimmerz products:
Blingz: Flashee Fushia
Shimmerz: Bubble Gum
Shimmerz: Sunny

Hope you enjoyed my post for today.
And don't forget: If you place an order make sure you mention my name and
you will get a FREE Shimmerz product of your color choice!

Enjoy your day!

Shimmerz Backgrounds with Shona

Hello Shimmerz Fans! Today I have 2 projects to share with you. A fun canvas and oversize tag.

The background on the canvas has been covered with Gesso and than I applied some Shimmerz in Royal Purple and Sea Foam Spritz. I have let both colors drip and run on the background and sides of the canvas.

Here are some close up of the background swirls of yummy Shimmerz colors. The chippys and metal butterfly are all covered with Gesso and sprayed with some Sea Foam Spritz, I love to use my Shimmerz to co ordinate my project pieces.

Next I have an oversize tag to share. To start I have used some packaging for the back of the tag, added some layers of torn paper strips, applied some gesso and sprayed some Sea Foam Spritz on it. Add a wee bit of water to the sprayed sections and twist and turn the tag to get the desired drips you like. I than used a mask to create the black on the background with some fun Licorice Stick Dazzlerz. Dazzlerz and Texuturez are my go to media’s for masking and adding texture to my projects.

Don’t forget to play along on our Facebook page for your chance to win some Shimmerz goodies to play with! It does not get any easier than this!
