"Heartbreaker"

Hi Shimmerz fans!  Stacey here to share with you a new creation using the following gorgeous colour palette!!!!

Vibez in Jeni B Bleu and Blue Jeans
Spritz in Mango Madness and Ruby
Dimensionz in Blue Lagoon

Awww, my little baby boy.......just starting to become a little poser, he is so adorable (yes, I am biased but it's true ;)

"Heartbreaker"

I always try to blend my embellishments to the Shimmerz products I used.
Lots of flicks also with the nozzle.

The Dimensionz in Blue Lagoon fit perfectly with this colour palette and really brought out Mason's blue eyes.  I applied some in dots and also applied it more thickly and then ran a paintbrush through it to give it a dripped look.

I have applied the Vibez to the resin heart.

I made an bow and arrow out of florist vine......love it :)

Look at the Shimmery colour when added to the patterned paper.

Hope you all enjoyed my sweet creation and have a great week ahead!
Thanks for stopping by xo

Bright and Happy...

Hi everyone! It's Iris again for today's blog post. I just wanted to share a bright and happy layout I made for my daughter Cheska who just turned five years old in this picture….

It's really easy to make your own background pages with just a few stencils, mediums, and Shimmerz Mists….

The colors I used here are: Coloringz Mandarin Mai Yai, Vibez Razzeldazzel Berry, and Jeni B. Bleu

I hope you will all get to have some time this week to play with your Shimmerz mists and paints too. Have fun everyone!

Fun and Shimmerly Frugal---By Keren Tamir

Hello Shimmerz's Fans
Today I have another fun and bright layout using lots of yummy Shimmerz products.

Here are the Shimmerz products I used for this layout:

Lilac
Hottie Pink

YES!! you are seeing this right, I only used two Shimmerly colors for this layout!!

I really wanted to show you that you can create a wonderful and colorful layout using only two Shimmerz paints. The reason I share this secret with you is because I know some of you cannot afford to buy every amazing Shimmerz product out there. However, I believe its better to have a few favourite colors you like than none at all. Then, even if you have two colors you can create a bright and colorful layout just like this one.

So I encourage you to go to our Shimmerz store and get yourself at least a couple of colors. Get yourself your favourites. And remember that if you mention my name during Checkout, you will receive a free sample product.

The chipboard circles were primed with gesso before painted with Lilac Shimmerz paint. Once dry, I stamped on them in a random pattern. The wooden ATC was painted with both Lilac and Hottie Pink

I used both the Lilac and Hottie pink to create drips and sprinkles in the background.

Hope you enjoyed this fun layout.

Have a wonderful day

Up up and away. Card tutorial.

Hi everyone. Tiffany here.
I have a short video to share with you on how I created this card.

I love using different mediums on my cards. I used some Shimmerz Texturez in gritty graphite and a stencil to add some texture to the background. I painted some on the hot air balloon as well.

You can see here how it all came together.

Here is another picture.

ATC FUN!

Hello Shimmerz Fans! Recently I participated in an ATC Swap. My ATC’s are loaded with lots of Shimmerz goodies on them!

The first one has a wee bit of masking in the background with some Dazzelerz Spun Sugar and drizzles of Grammie Berry Pearlz. The metal butterfly has a layer of gesso on it and then topped off with some Grammie Berry, Gold Glimmer Blingz and a shot of Treasured Hymn Spritz. After I added the embellishments everything got a spray of Shimmeringz Goldie Lox.

The second ATC has splashes of Pearlz Blue By U and Gold Glimmer Blingz. I love using these paints on my metals to make them match my project. Once completed everything got a spray of Shimmeringz Goldie Lox…I love the shimmer of gold on everything!

My last ATC has Shimmerz Pink and Grammie Berry in the background. Guess what I sprayed on the completed ATC? Yepp you got it…Shimmeringz Goldie Lox J These ATC’s were s much fun to make and I hope the ladies I sent them all to enjoy them!

Imagination

Hello everyone!
Ingrid here today with a fairy canvas I made.
I didn't use many Shimmerz on this piece but it shows that
you don't have to use a lot of Shimmerz to create a lovely piece.

For this canvas I only used two colors of Shimmerz:
Tickle me Turquoise and Sunny.
All the flowers and chipboard were also colored with these two colors.

Here is a photo of the background without the embellishments.
I started with some kitchen towel paper.
Tore them in little pieces and crumble them up.
Took some gesso and used the gesso as a glue to create the texture.
Then I added some micro glass beads to some gesso and covered the canvas.
I let it dry completely before adding the Shimmerz.
Put some Shimmerz in random places and added some water to let it run a little and
also added extra splashes of paint.
When dry, I put on some gesso (using a mini kitchen sponge) on the painted areas
to lighten the cracks and folds of the paper towel.

Look at that yummy texture!

Here are some close ups of the canvas and the embellishments:

Found this fairy at a local floral shop, isn't she lovely?
Her wings were also colored with the Shimmerz.

Love these colors together!
Turquoise is by far my most favorite color!!

Couldn't help myself, I had to make a card too!! lol
Used the same technique as the canvas.

Hope these projects will inspire you to use some Shimmerz as well!
They are just awesome to work with!

And remember:
If you place a Shimmerz order make sure you add my name in the
"Instructions to Merchant" space
and you will get a FREE sample sized jar of Dazzlerez or Texturez
or a full sized bottle of Dimensionz of your color choice.
How cool is that!

Let your imagination run and enjoy!
Have a wonderful day!

Hi Crafters :)

Today I want to share with you guys an altered canvas I made for Shimmerz. The color theme I am going for is red, yellow and purple. I added some green and turquoise color as well just to break the warmness the canvas has.

I sprayed the background with No Yoking (coloringz), Princess (Vibez), and Grape Escape (Vibez) first. Then I cut out some sticky back fabric strips and layered them onto the canvas. I then sprayed the same colors onto the fabric strips.

Here is the start-to-finish video:

The cute wood door and spoon are from SaCrafters and the wing and gears are from Creative Embellishment. I colored each embellishment with different art medium to make them match the color theme, and give them more texture.

These two metal filigree flowers are inspired by Cynthialoowho on youtube. I colored the flower with Jilted Jade and Periwinkle (shimmerz). Like I mentioned before, I used some blue and turquoise color to break the super warm theme.

I had so much fun creating this canvas, hope you like it too :)))

Check out Shimmerz Blog and Shimmerz FaceBook.

Product List:
--Coloringz: No Yoking
---Vibez: Princess, Grape Escape, Jeni B Bleu
--Dazzelerz: Tutti Frutti, Grapetastic
--Shimmerz: Jilted Jade, Periwinkle

Stay Creative <3

Sweet bubba canvas

Hi Shimmerz friends, welcome to the weekend!  I hope you find time this weekend to play with your Shimmerz and get crafty ;)

I am sharing a canvas piece today I created for a friend.  Her precious little niece was born and I got to go all out girly and pretty on this one!!!!

Here are the Shimmerz products I used:

Spritz in Plum Pudding and Ruby
Coloringz in Pink Stiletto
Vibez in Jeni B Bleu
Dazzlerz in Pucker Up Pink
Shimmerz in Magenta and Lilac
Enamelz in Sparklicious

I used a Prima mask and some Gel Medium on the canvas.  Which I then sprayed with with the Vibez and Spritz.  I then highlighted the resisted area with the Shimmerz pots, also adding a little water to give it the water colour effect.

I always like to add some crystals or enamel dots to my creations.  I try to match the colours as close as possible so they almost blend into the Shimmerz background.

I don't think you can quite tell by my photographs but I added a lot of sparkle to this creation.  It's sooooo pretty!  I tone my flower edges down with a little Gesso.  This is when I will sprinkle on the Enamelz in Sparklicious so that in dries into the wet Gesso.

Don't forget to mention my name at checkout if you are purchasing any Shimmerz and you will receive a free sample sized jar of Dazzlerz or Texturez in your choice of colour OR a free bottle of Dimensionz in your choice of colour!!

That is all from me today, have a great weekend xo
