The heart in the book

Hello everyone! Today I would like to share with you a new altered project.

When sitting down to create my project, I knew I would be using a lot of red so I grabbed any Shimmerz products I had that was red.

I altered the book, the heart of the book!

To carry out my project, it took a few simple step: I cut a few pages of the book, creating a deep niche and I pasted them; I put the electrical parts and glued the electric wires and I got all red products Shimmerz and I started to color, color, color ....

Products used:
Coloringz: My Bleeding Heart, Valentino and Pink Stiletto.
Vibez: Red Y-or Not, Rusty Bottom, Razzle Dazzle Berry and Snow Storm.
Shimmerz Spritz: Ruby and Barn Door.
Blingz: Hottie Pink and Flashee Fushia.
Pearlz: Carrot Top, Grammue Berrie, Santa Baby and Pouder Puff.
Shimmerz: Magenta, Burgundy, Royal Red, Fire Engine Red, Wed Wagon and Angel Wings.

Have a great day with creativity!

A shimmery canvas!

Happy Saturday everyone!  Stacey here with a new canvas I created through the week:)  Lots of techniques and layers used here.  I scraped my base with Gesso and added mist after mist of Shimmerz colour!!  Here is what I used:

Coloringz in Pink Stiletto and Heidi Ho Blue
Spritz in Sapphire and Rockafella Blue
Vibez in Hermit the Frog
Shimmerz in Ultra Marine, Tickle Me Turquoise, Antique Lace and Frosty's Got The Blues

I adhered the window frame chipboard with foam tape and then applied a some texture paste to it.  I then painted sections of it with Frosty's got the Blues Shimmerz.  I think this technique gives it such a shabby look:)

I wanted to create a shadow effect and to make the frame stand out so I applied some Ultra Marine Shimmerz under and around the edges of it.

I hope you like my canvas.  I do and it's almost Christmassy isn't it??
See you all again soon, thanks for visiting:)
Hugs x

Canvas camera strap

The products Shimmerz can be used to color any type of surface. I love to use them to color canvas and I enjoy it very much.
I color the canvas with many different stencil and I spray the different colors of the Shimmerz without rules. To get a more tenuous steaining I use Shimmerz Spritz or Vibez, but to have a more intense color, Coloringz must be used.

Now that the canvas is ready, you can make so many fun items.

This time I decided to make  two very colorful canvas Camera Strap.

Thanks to Vibez now my camera has a new, much more colorful look.

Have a great day with creativity!

Pour on the Enamelz!

Hi everybody, it's me again! Today I thought that I would do something a little different, especially since yesterday I showed off a layout that I created for Shimmerz. Today, I thought I would post pictures of a bracelet that I created using tons (yes, TONS) of Enamelz. (In fact, I may have to call upon Stacey... I depleted all of my Sparklicious supply and most of my Fake Bake! Have you gotten yours yet? They are delicious on everything!!)

I started out with an orange snap bracelet from Prima's Ruby Violet Collection from last year's release, totally covering it in Versamark, and then Fake Bake Enamelz. I then re-inked it with Versamark, and covered it with Sparklicious.

"Do Not Be Deceived"
I did the same with two canvas ovals, and my snake charm. To finish it off (a VERY easy project!),  I tied the canvas pieces together, set my snake charm down with Mod Podge glue underneath, then used Fabri-Tac to affix the canvas ovals upon the bracelet, over the snake.
A bit different than my normal projects, but fun! I wish the photos showed you JUST how shimmery this piece is now, but it is glamorous and I love it. Enamelz is PERFECT for dressing up just about everything!

All Things Love-y

In mid-August my husband and I will be celebrating our 12th anniversary. In fact, on the 12th of 2012, we will be celebrating 12 years. How fantastic is that? So I decided to add a page to our album that shows us in our standard "couple" pose that somehow we have adopted over the last decade, or so. :)

"We May Have Changed, But Our LOVE Hasn't"
I love the combination of vintage-y colors that Shimmerz offers, along with a pop of something bright. I first used some white gesso to highlight the areas of the background paper that I planned on working on. I then spritzed it with some Treasured Hymn, Pop Art Pink, Cotton Candy, and Licorice. I then let it dry, and afterward using a Crafter's Workshop mask, added the diamonds with molding paste. After the paste was dried completely, I repeated my use of color, blending with a baby wipe, and then flicking Licorice and my pop color My Bleeding Heart in spots on the page.
I then used my medicine dropper to drip some Butter Cream Shimmerz around the photo cluster.

Shimmerz has endless color combination to truly make each page beautiful... what colors are you using right now? xx Heidi

Max!

My new little nephew Max.  He is so precious, tiny and all kinds of sweet!!  A bit of a different colour scheme for me and with a touch of red.  I am not a lover of red and can never seem to pull off scrap pages with it.  But just a subtle hint of it and I may be converted:)  Here is what I used for this layout:

Coloringz in My Bleeding Heart
Vibes in Before Dawn
Pearlz in Blue Into Town
Blingz in Gold Glimmer

"Max"

+ some details.

Hope you enjoy a fun creative weekend:)
Until next time,
Stace x

More Shimmerz Art Journaling

Hi there again.  Its Lydell with something else to share with you today!
This is a recent Journal Page I did using The Color Rooms Palette #118 and Karola Witczak's 'The Scrap Cake' Papers.  Gorgeous Colours!  So I hunted up some shimmerz to match it.  Such an easy task when there are so many colours in all the ranges.

So I used some Spritz in Cotton Candy and Mango Madness on this one.

The Mango Madness is such a gorgeous colour.  It actually has some gold undertones which makes the Shimmer quite stunning.

I layered the colours, starting with the lightest first to build up depth.  (Cotton Candy first up)

Shimmerz goes hand in hand with other Art mediums.
I used a Blue Gelato and some Gesso to achieve the blending in colours you can see, and some Archival black ink for stamping.  I applied some Helmar Fixative between coats to prevent the colours from mixing too much.

Thanks for stopping in today.
Enjoy your Shimmerz!
