My makeup stuff

I was looking for a new box to put in my bathroom to store some of my makeup stuff. The box had to match with the colors of my bathroom accossories: brown and champagne.

I started with a yellow box and I covered it with fabric. I needed, to decorate the box, embellishments of the right colors. Once selected my embellishments, I gave them the right touch of color with Carmel and Butter Cream Shimmerz, perfect for this box and my bathroom.

Now the box is ready: thanks to Shimmerz products it has the right colors and a new brightness.

Here are my makeup stuff in its new shimmering container.

Produtcs used:

Shimmerz: Carmel and Butter Cream.

Have a great day with creativity!

Julia's Garden

Hi everyone, Heidi here! :)

Today's project was completely inspired by my neighbor. She is my friend, a surrogate Grandmother to my children, and just a beautiful woman. She spends time with my girls outside on a regular basis, teaching them about critters and birds, gardening, and all things nature. (Which is fabulous, because while I might have green tipped fingers because of painting - a green thumb is NOT something I was blessed with!)

Last week she bought us flowers, and with the girls she created a garden within our landscaping. It is BEAUTIFUL. So we have dubbed this gorgeous spot, "Julia's Garden," and thought that we should dress it up a bit.

Rocks are plentiful around my yard, so I snagged one up and brought it inside.

I first misted it with Coloringz in Pink Stiletto, Mandarin Mai Tai, and No Yoking...

Then I took that favorite stamp of mine, covered it in gesso, and stamped onto the rock.
Then, I spritzed some Lime in Da Coconut over the stamped image... and heat set to dry.
Finally, I wrote "Julia's Garden" in puffy paints, coated the edges of the rock in Sparkilicous Enamelz, and then heat set the whole thing one more time. To finish it off, and because I wanted it to remain outside where it can be rained on - I Mod Podged the whole thing so we wouldn't have any paint run-off.

Here it sits, pretty as can be, in it's namesake's garden. :)

Sweet and girly!!!

Hi everyone, Stacey here, sharing with you a sweet, girly layout!!!   My little niece is just the sweetest and I took these pics of her a couple of months ago and finally had a chance to scrap them.  I can tell you my desk is full of Enamalz glitter everywhere!  This is so sparkly and pretty:)  Here is the list of Shimmerz product I used:

Coloringz in Mon Shari
Vibez in Grape Escape and Jeni B Bleu
Enamelz in Jack Frost
Pearlz in Pretty In Pink and Mint Julip
Shimmerz in Butter Cream

"Perfect Little Miss"

Gracie was playing and hiding from the bubbles we were playing with so I wanted to make some bubbles around the page too.  I used the lid off the Shimmerz and dipped it into Gesso as my first layer, I then did the same thing with the Pearlz Mint Julip.  I covered the Chandelier in Enamalz too.

I misted the background and also used a mask.  Even the little birdie got covered in Pearlz and Shimmerz.

Thanks for visting,
I hope you have a great weekend xo

I am grateful

Hello.
It’s Naomi and here is the LO I’d like to share today with you.
It’s a very simple one but I love how shimmerz have done to it.

Products used:

Coloringz Tropical Tanline
Vibez Hot Fudge
Vibez Rolling in the hay

As you might’ve noticed, I am usually a very messy “all over the place” type of person when it comes to creating (and my room. shhhhh..) but I also love simple layouts.
Shimmerz are so versatile and I can use them in any way I feel like and that’s why I love the products.

Thank you for popping by and I hope you are all having a lovely weekend!

Playing Dress Up, on Paper

I LOVE using my paints to dress up elements on a project. For this layout "34 and Counting..." I wanted to use the awesome Pearlz color, Grammie Berrie, to highlight my hair in the photo.

Here's a close - up of my locks. :) I layered pieces of my hair by cutting up two printed out photos. After I had the layers placed on where I wanted them, I used the end of a paintbrush to randomly apply the paint, creating texture bubbles by flicking the brush.

AND of course, I did a bit of dripping with Grammie Berrie and with Mama Sings the Blues,
 randomly throughout the layout too.

It's amazing what a beautiful hued, paint can do to highlight and dress up your projects!
xx Heidi

Shimmerz canvas piece!

Hi, it's my turn again to share with you a project using Shimmerz:)  I think this is one of the loveliest pieces I have ever made!  I really love it and I enjoyed the process so much and Shimmering EVERYTHING!!  I did take photos of my process for making this, but I will share that on my blog soon, I haven't had a chance to edit those photos yet!  Here are the Shimmerz products I used to create this canvas:

Vibez - Egg Noggin and Jeni B Bleu
Spritz - Treasured Hymn
Shimmeringz - Heavy Metal
Enamelz - Sparklicious (lots of this on there that my pictures just don't give it justice)
Shimmerz - Antique Lace and Butter Cream
Pearlz - Mint Julip

"Sunsets Over The Beach"

All of the shells were painted with gesso first and then layers and layers of Shimmerz products were added.  I topped it off with sprinkling the Enamelz.

I really love the creamy colours in the Shimmerz  I used here and also the Spritz in Treasured Hymn.  Colours I think I will use more now, they blended really well and created a shabby feel to my canvas.

Thankyou for letting me share my canvas with you today.....I hope you might find some shells of your own this weekend to help you create your next beach layout:)
Hugs, Stacey x

A grungy, book page, Shimmered background

Hi Everyone!
Its my turn again to share a page I created today.....

I used primarily what was sitting on my table today!
Some tags from a clothing store, some left over tickets and bits and pieces I pulled for another page but did not use or return to their packets yet, a die cut or two.....Unfortunately my table is still messy and it did not have much impact on its tidiness!!!!

I used Helmar Decoupage medium to glue some bookpages to my background paper

Then tore it off leaving a grungy covering.
(I added more and tore off, again and again, to get it the way I wanted.)

I used Gesso here and there over areas of the page to dull down the text and the dotted paper in places and
I sprayed Sea Monkey and Vertigre Vibez and 4 leaf Clover Spritz, starting with the lightest first....
(Sea Monkey)

So then I sprayed some tags and the Alphas and other bits and pieces and mopped up what was on the craft sheet with the items, utilising all the shimmer!

And That was my play day with Shimmerz.

Get out your Shimmerz today!

Coloringz Dreaming in color....

Hey there.
I am here with a page I did just today, playing around with Coloringz paints and drips!  So much fun.  I love dripping colour.

These paints have such intense colour, they are delightful to use together....

First I sprayed my chosen Coloringz colour in the middle and held the paper up to direct where I wanted the drips to fall.  Then I dried it with my heat tool.  I used a Fixative spray by Helmar to 'set' the colour, allowing me to spray another color on top and not have the colours bleed together again when re-wet.  I sprayed this on every time I changed colours.

Once I had finished the drips, I got out my Gesso and painted over the now muddy brown centre, where all the colours on top of each other made quite an ugly mess!
This created a nice clean crisp background for my photo

Then I got out some white flowers and sprayed them with all the same Coloringz colours I used for the drips.

I then added all my little elements and stamped details.

Colours I Used...
Pink Stilletto
Heidi Ho Blue
Mama sings the blues
Mon Shari
Ivy league
Lime in da coconut
No Yolking
My bleeding heart
Mandarin Mai Tai
Tropical Tanline

If you dont have a range of Coloringz....you just may need some!

Thanks for visiting today.
