Pretty

Hello there! I just wanted to pop in and share this layout that I did with one of the new lines from Dream Street -- so pretty and whimsical right? Well I of course had to add some spritz to make it sparkle.

I used Cotton Candy Spritz for the pink part and my favorite Babys Breath for the blue and the green!

Pretty right? It added just the right amount of shimmer that the layout needed! Try it!

Thoughts and Prayers

I made a card for a very good friend of mine, who is going through a real rough time right now, as she recieved very sad news which will affect her and her husband. I wanted to let her know that I am thinking of them and that they are in my thoughts and prayers. When I made this card, I wanted it to be extra special and with the Shimmerz Spritz, in Bubble Gum, it really added the right touch I was looking for with the chipboard bird. It gave it the extra shine, which to me was to represent the shine from the angels above who are watching over this family at this time. Symbolism, in the subtlest of ways.

And with the close up shot, you can see just how nice the shine really is:

Beatifully done, don't you agree?

Juicy

this is for now my final gift set made with the Magnolia Pet Collection stamps. Can you believe it??? The set is inspired by some Haribo candies my friend Crissy sent my son Lucas. The bag had the same parrot on the front.. i just colored it a bit different to match my paper. The parrot is first colored with Copic markers but than i added a thin coat with Shimmerz paint "under the sea" as you can see it still lets the colors shine through but gives a nice shine and sparkle

I do agree the papers are not very tropical.. but i still like the combination. I like to leave some cards without a sentiment.. this way i can just use them when i need one for an occasion. Always nice to have something like this in the drawer.

It's Christmas Time...In July

I decided to get a jump on making Christmas cards. Every year I say that I am going to make them, and every year I make a mad dash at the last minute to find the perfect cards at a store. Not this year!

I created this card so that it could either be a Christmas or winter card. I painted a chipboard snowflake with Pixie Dust Blingz 2 times to give it that Oh la la touch *giggle*. I love the way that the snowflake ends up being the focal point. I also added a button and some hemp twine for a twist on the traditional snowflake. This was really fun, so simple, and I adore the way it came out.

So, come on and join me. Get your Christmas groove on. Who cares that it is only 110 degrees outside? You can do it!!! Here is my card and a close up of the snowflake.

Mmmm Cupcakes!

Don't these look just absolutely Yummy-liscious!?! I get a sugar rush just looking at it! I used Pink Shimmerz on the icing and then covered with Crystal Effects for some extra dimension. Oy, I wish I had a cupcake right now! Actually...just forget the cupcake and give me the icing and a large spoon, LOL! Here's the full card, even though I know the cupcake is the best part! :)

Spritz and a hand-cut mask

These are pictures of my daughter when she was 4, 5, 6 and 7 years old. I love seeing the progression of her growth . . . though I wish she wouldn't grow up quite so fast!

Photobucket

I had SO much fun using Spritz on this page to make the grass and sky background. I started with plain white cardstock and created my own little masks by cutting cloud shapes out of cardstock. I used removable adhesive to stick them on my cardstock while I Spritzed away to my heart's content (yes, "spritzed" is now a new verb that I think should be included in every dictionary). Then I simply removed the clouds and VOILA!:

Once the Spritz was dry, I hand-stitched around the white clouds with embroidery floss to give them a little definition. One little hint: since I used quite a bit of Spritz on my cardstock, it did warp the paper slightly. But no worries . . . I simply ironed my cardstock on a low setting for a few seconds, and the paper was flat again. Easy peasy!! I just love how the Spritz looks flawless when it dries.

Fairy Wings

I just love Arianna the fairy kissing the frog, she has to be one of my favorites. And I love to make all Fairies sparkle. I love that Shimmerz has such a wide variety of colors that no matter what color my fairy is there is going to be a color that will match perfectly for their wings. Because all fairies need to sparkle!!

Since she is dressed in pink I had to put Pink Shimmerz on her wings, she had to match *wink*. Have you tried the pink shimmerz yet? They are one of my favorite colors and if you love pink and use it a lot it is defiantly a color you need in your collection.

Hope you have a great Sunday, thanks bunches for stopping by!!

Golden Girls

I am so happy and proud to be designing for Shimmerz paints once again. Thank you Stacey and Danielle for welcoming me back with open arms after a short break! I am also excited to be working with such talented gals who inspire me.

I knew I had to use my Shimmerz for this layout! I used Beeswax Shimmerz and Candle Light Shimmerz on the title letter stickers. I jazzed up the plain flowers with Beeswax Shimmerz as well. I used Coal Shimmerz on the black button and Candle Light Shimmerz on the journaling spot. I added a little sparkle to the gold digital frames directly to the photos with the Beeswax Shimmerz. The paint gives the frames a great 3-D effect!

The new Summer Colors are so happy and fun, it makes me want to create bright joyful projects. I just love these colors! The new Tickle Me Turquoise was also the perfect color to add to my new fun bracelet, and I just love the finished look it gave it. :)

Halloween

Hello and thank you for vistiting me today. Have you had a chance yet to take a look at the new sketch over on the Friday Sketcher blog
Added some Shimmerz paints to the pumpkins in Marigold and Celery to the bag and leaves.

Thank you for visting us today. Hugs Claudia Rosa

A Shimmery Wine Tag

Here is one more project I made for the Impression Obsession and Shimmerz swap. The clear stamp set I used ont his wine tag is called Hugs & Kisses. Even though these stamps are for Valentine's Cards I just had to have them. You can use the stamps seperately for love card, wedding cards, tags etc. I chose to use them on a wine tag. Here you see a close up of the flowers I used. The green was painted with Shimmerz Green Olive and the brown was painted with Choc-o-lot.I masked some of the stamps together on the tag. I used black ink and some different brown inks. I sprayed the tag with Shimmerz Spritz Mudpie. You can double click the picture to see the shimmery effect on the tag.

Botanicals

Wanted to make something "non' cute :-) this flower is very simple so i kept my card layout the same. Just added some nice elegance to the card with some thin layers of Shimmerz pain in "Golden Wheat" and in the center is "Caramel". On the out line of the flower where the sentiment is i have painted "Candle light".

Thank you for swinging by today. Kind Regards Claudia Rosa

New Shimmerz

I know you all have seen some beautiful things here with the newest Shimmerz products - and here is my little contribution.

For this Bubble layout I used all 4 of the new products to make the bubbles. To make the 2 colors blend I used a paint brush -- it was so easy! For the card I use a masking technique with the Spritz! It worked perfectly. It is so shiny in real life!

And of course I had to add some on the bloom I made :)

I hope you enjoyed these!
